Behind us is a series of eleven short documentary films made during the spring of 2004. They are the result of an intensive three-month workshop held by Ateliers Varan in Belgrade. Though there are vast differences in both style and substance between the films (thus the title Eleven), what characterises them all is a deeply personal approach, whether the film is a family portrait, a personal essay or a story about a Roma village.
